Volkswagen Golf is named as the 'honest' choice

The Volkswagen Golf’s successful run continues this week, with the car winning the Small Family Car category at the inaugural Honest John Awards.

The winners were announced at an event in London last night, and were awarded based on the popularity of the ‘most searched for’ models on the consumer focused HonestJohn.co.uk website.

A number of other models in the Volkswagen range have also proved popular throughout the past year on the Honest John site. The Polo (Small Hatchback), Passat (Large Family Car) and Touran and Sharan (People Carrier) all scored highly with the site’s users and were shortlisted in their respective categories.

The ‘Honest’ Awards claim to use the best experts around to select the winners: website users. Their interaction with the website gives a clear indication of the models that are really in demand.

The Honest John award adds to the titles of Best Small Family Car by What Car? and Best Compact Family Car from Auto Express, as well as a number of fleet accolades claimed in the past year.
