Coming off an another successful year in 2010, Hyundai Kia Automotive Group has earned a 22 percent growth in the United States auto market (outperforming the overall US auto sales increase percentage by double the industry-wide tally). Remarkably, Hyundai ended the 2010 year selling only 14,074 cars fewer than Nissan in the United States. Besides earning sales numbers of 538,228 units for the Hyundai division alone, the South Korean-derived automaker has raked in respect as a builder of exciting and passionate vehicles. At the upcoming 2011 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Hyundai will reveal another piece to their new brand identity of smart-looking vehicles

Presented with only a single teaser photograph, the five-door 2012 Hyundai Veloster clearly reflects a more upscale interpretation of Kia’s very successful Soul utility vehicle. Based off a 2007 concept car of the same name, the 2012 Veloster appears to present exterior design fusion between a practical compact hatchback and an aggressive sports car. However, unlike the 2007 three-door car, the production Hyundai Veloster debuting at the Detroit auto show is clearly a five-door configuration. With many outer details obscured by darkness, indication are apparent Hyundai intends to replicate their original design concept.
