Mazda RX 9 use engine Twin Clutch, This engine will be mated with the Twin Clutch, two pedals transimission 6-speed tranny that is claimed to be able to give a horse power of 300hp (kW 224 / 304 PS). However, the increased horsepower of the RX-8 RX-9 232hp to 300hp is not going to make wasteful fuel consumption. This revised engine has been stated to increase fuel economy by 20%. RX-9 will continue to use gasoline engines. The possibility of rotary engine will be equipped with Kers function is to charge the battery automatically when there deceleration (braking) and then provide additional power when the rotary engine to work when the driver hit the gas pedal to berakslereasi fast.
