افتراضي 2011 Chevy Camaro Gets a Horsepower Bump, Heads-Up Display

So the 2010 Chevy Camaro has been wildly successful so far. And it should be…the car was the first in the Chevy lineup to take things to a new level of quality and overall refinement and personality. It’s a fantastic bargain for performance, and looks ultra-sexy. So what does Chevy do to the car for the upcoming 2011 model year? Not much, really, but there a couple things worth mentioning

First up, the horsepower rating in the V6 models has been nudged up a bit from 304 HP to 312, as well as a bump in torque from 273 lb-ft to 278. There isn’t actually any more power than the 2010 model, but the engine finally completed the SAE certification testing. Tom Sutter, GM V-6 chief engineer, said “The 304 horsepower in the 2010 Camaro was actually a conservative rating on our end, but we knew already that this award-winning engine produced at least the amount of power we stated, but now we’ve gone the extra step in certifying the engine for this application and have verified an additional 8 horsepower

Aside from the minor number change, the 2011 Camaro will have a limited run of the Synergy Green color available from the 2010 Synergy Special Edition Camaro. For 2010, the color was only offered on the 1LT trim, but since they got a positive response from it, you can get it for any trim level in 2011 for an extra $325. Lastly, Chevy is offering their Heads-Up Display (from the Corvette,) which displays speed, tachometer, compass, outside air temp, OnStar, Turn-by-Turn directions, audio functions, phone information, selected gear, turn signals, high-beam indicator signal, and other vehicle messages. I have a feeling this will be a highly requested feature
