افتراضي Saab suspends production once more

Weeks go by and it's business as usual at Saab. Not! The automaker today revealed that its Trollhättan plant will temporarily suspend production yet again as some parts suppliers are reportedly still waiting for payments.

Spyker, the owner which will soon be called Swedish Automobile, claims that agreements have been reached with the vast majority of them and that negotiations with the remaining partners will be finalized ''in the coming days''.

On May 27, Saab admitted that more interruptions in production were expected as the company worked intensively to make sure the flow gets going again.

Spyker CEO and Saab Chairman Victor Muller said that 10,000 orders had to be completed, including for 9-4X units built in Mexico.

Saab reaffirmed its desire to resume production as soon as possible but didn't set a specific target. The press release adds that ''many suppliers are located outside Europe and re-stocking inevitably takes time''.
