Here's a little piece of advice for everyone: If you're at an
F1 event - whether it's a grand prix or a demonstration - don't run in front of the race car.
You'd think that would be pretty common knowledge, but one spectator in Japan evidently didn't get the memo. At a demonstration event held there by
Red Bull Racing, a spectator ran out onto the improvised track, right as Sebastian Buemi drove by.
Fortunately, the pedestrian appeared to have been drinking his Red Bull, as he jumped at the last second to avoid what could have been a more severe collision. Both he and Buemi - a driver for Red Bull's Scuderia Toro Rosso "B" squad - were reportedly unhurt in the incident, which recalled mishaps that were all too common in the old days of rallying, but is something you hardly see in the tightly controlled environment of Formula One.
