The styling of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2011/06/05/bmw-spills-all-the-beans-on-new-1-series/">2012 BMW 1 Series</a> is indeed polarizing, and most of the design dissections here at Autoblog Towers are mostly concerned with the car's front fascia, with upward-angled headlamps that blend into a larger dual-kidney grille. Much like the rest of its lineup, <a href="http://autoblog.com/make/bmw">BMW</a> will offer an M Sport styling option for the <a href="http://autoblog.com/model/1+series">1 Series</a>, previewed by the image you see here, which we tend to think improves the 1er's schnoz quite a bit.<br />

In addition to the revised front bumper with larger air intakes, <a href="http://www.bmwblog.com/2011/06/06/2012-bmw-1-series-with-m-sport-package/">BMWBlog.com</a> reports that the 1 Series M Sport will get a new rear bumper, side skirts and M-specific wheels to round off the exterior changes. Inside, the usual M Sport things like a new steering wheel, shifter and pedals will be fitted, along with sport seats.
